For some reason I feel compelled to repost this video I edited for Motion Family last year. It’s a feel good song that makes me think about where I’m at how far I’ve come in my work. Considering the fact I was laid off about a month ago for reasons beyond my control, it’s comforting to think that I can do things like this without having a boss. Full credit goes to Motion Family for their direction and excellent camera work. I just piece things together. They make the magic. Anyway, thanks again guys for this and many more to come hopefully. Oh yeah, did I mention this was on MTV? Well it was.

Chris Keegan – Pressure

Yesterday, Chris Keegan premiered the official video for his single Pressure, which was directed by yours truly. Assisting in the filming was Henry McCoy. This was all done in one day and was a first for everyone involved, however, we’ve been bitten by the ‘bug’ and have already planned out video #2 for the single ‘My Life’. With that said, here is the video for ‘Pressure’.

Adele – Rolling in the Deep

Last Friday, I posted Adele’s (what I thought) official video for the mind blowing new track, Rolling in the Deep. Well folks, I was mistaken. The gorgeous behind the scenes, B&W, video of her recording was NOT the official video. It was simply something amazing put out by an amazing artist. I now present to you, the premiere of the official Rolling in the Deep video, which is even more incredible than the BTS. Enjoy. HAPPY MONDAY INDEED!

No offense, but I hate that Justin Bieber is so nuts popular when there is amazing music like this out there.

I find that music and editing go hand in hand.  It’s almost as if I don’t listen to music, no work gets done.  I like to listen to music that gets my hyped up, so that I edit to my fullest capabilities.  If you aren’t listening to music when you edit (I don’t know who doesn’t), you ought to start.  Your work and spirits will both improve.  Feel free to try any of these albums that I’ve shown. Im sure they are probably not going to suit everyone, but give them a shot.  Have a happy Memorial Day weekend.  Bbq something for me.

Sean Falyon – Wonderful Life (Motion Family Victory)

Another video I edited for Motion Family has surfaced, but this time it’s a lot different. I edited the video for Sean Falyon’s ‘Wonderful Life’, shot by fellow Louisiana Tech alum, Diwang Valdez of Motion Family. I heard the song before the hard drive arrived to me and was instantly excited. It wasn’t until after I began editing that I learned the video would be shown on MTV-U. As we all know, MTV on tv no longer shows videos, so this was the best we can do. It was the first for both Motion Family and myself to be shown on MTV. We are all very excited. Motion Family has worked very hard on their videos and this is a big win for them. I’m very happy for them and extremely happy to have been a part. If you ever need any video work, I highly recommend contacting them. I am now also a huge fan of Sean’s. I will be buying his album when it is released and I recommend everyone do the same.
