My Hobby

To some this will sound stupid, to others, not so stupid.  It’s no secret that I still enjoy my childhood hobby of baseball card collecting.  It’s not the same industry it was when we were kids, but it’s still fun for sure.  I think that we all should hold on to a little piece of what made us happy when we were kids.   Otherwise, what do we have?  So, I decided to start a blog devoted to my hobby.  But not just talking to them.  I wanted to take my photographic and graphic design knowledge and apply it to the hobby.  My blog is a free wordpress blog for now, just to see if this thing actually takes off.  If it does, I’ll spice it up a lot more.  But for now it will look cheap and that’s fine.  If you want to follow the blog, visit Sports Card Design.  It should be fun.

‘High Praise Indeed’

The best thing to say to an artist of any kind might be, “someday, people will think what you did is really important.”

If it’s popular with everyone right away, it might not be art, it might just be good marketing. But if it earns attention and respect over time, if it wins over the skeptical, then you’ve really created something.
