Took the 5DMKll out yesterday for a fun nature video shoot. We shot it completely handheld with no stabilizers, which I’m sure you can tell. The majority of the shoot was done with a Canon 28mm.

It’s no secret that I admire Chase Jarvis’ work, his attitude on the industry and execution in all things creative. I don’t copy his work, I just respect him very highly. More than anyone else really, just because I feel as though I can relate to him as a videographer / photographer. Well, I happened to be on Tweetdeck today and got a tweet saying the third person to respond gets to listen to Moby with me and something something. So I responded and this happened….

I wanted so badly to accept and go, but I felt like I should let someone else go who could realistically make it.  I believe in karma, so maybe one day it will come around.  I’ve always wanted to go to Seattle, but to rub shoulders with the best in the biz at the same time would be the greatest.  Plus I’d get to listen to Moby talk about food.  How weirdly awesome would that be?

So close, yet so far, literally.  Maybe next time…
